Steve Schwartz

President

Steve Schwartz is the CEO of JNBD Group, a Family office of diverse Manufacturing Companies servicing the Food, Aerospace, Defense and Pharmaceutical Industries, and has been serving on the Board of the Outpost Foundation since 2020.  

Off the golf course, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife Michele, daughter Jordyn and sons Noah (22), Dylan (19) and Braden (10).  His favorite golf memory was made with his son when they had the opportunity to play 72 holes of pure alternate shot at Ohoopee Match Club.  If there is no opportunity to do something related to golf, Steve enjoys watching College Basketball and traveling.  

Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University and calls both Cherry Hill, New Jersey and Boca Raton, Florida home.



Blake Ilgenfritz

Vice President

Blake serves as Vice President of Affordable Housing Debt and Structured Finance at CBRE Capital Markets where he originates and manages transactions for low-income housing tax credit properties, Section 8, and tax-exempt bond financing. He carries with him 15 years of commercial real estate experience. Blake earned his bachelor of science degree in Finance from Penn State University and also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

In his free time, Blake enjoys golf with the Outpost Club, travel, good food, good beer, good coffee & good company. He lives in Arlington, VA with his wife and Springer Spaniel.

Joy Kaye

Secretary

Joy Kaye brings a strong human resources background to the Outpost Foundation Board.   She served as Vice President in Human Resources at PaineWebber and Merrill Lynch Investment Banking Groups, Manager of University Relations at Apple Computer as well as the Director of Business Recruitment at J. Crew.   Currently, she sits on the Board of the Hereditary Neuropathy Foundation (HNF) as well as the Metropolitan Golf Association (MGA).  In addition, she serves as Secretary to the Executive Board and Chair of the Scholarship Committee for the Outpost Foundation.  An avid golfer, she is a member of GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills, New York.

Joy received a BA in Psychology from Mount Holyoke College and an MA in Organizational Psychology from Teachers College at Columbia University.  She currently lives in Vermont with her husband, Eric, and their chocolate lab Jake.



Charlie Milner

Treasurer

Charlie Milner brings 20+ years of experience in Finance and Corporate Strategy to the Outpost Foundation board. Currently, Charlie is the Senior Director of Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis for Southwest Airlines and serves as the Outpost Foundation Treasurer. Prior to his time at Southwest Airlines, Charlie served as a consultant at PwC and as engineer with The Boeing Company. 

While golf is one of Charlie’s central hobbies, photography is a close second. A camera is usually close at hand and he loves photographing many of the golfing journeys that he enjoys with the Outpost Club. Beyond that, Charlie is a huge college football fan and follows his Texas A&M Aggies religiously. He also fancies himself a decent chef and enjoys entertaining his extended family in his hometown of Dallas, TX. 

Charlie has a Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M and an MBA from the University of Southern California. 


Chris Hunt

Founding Director

A graduate of Cornell University, Chris also holds Masters degrees in financial engineering, business administration, and golf architecture. Prior to joining Derivative Logic, he spent several years in interest rate and energy derivatives structuring and sales roles at KeyBank and nearly a decade as an independent client advisor. 

Before entering the world of finance, Chris designed and built golf courses around the world. Chris’s professional affiliations include the Urban Land Institute and the Association for Corporate Growth, he is Treasurer of the non profits Outpost Foundation and Food Conscious, and a board member of the Cornell Club of Northeast Ohio and the Western Golf Association’s Carry the Game initiative. In his spare time, he helps out with the Baggr Caddies, Outpost Club, Silver Club Golfing Society, and Cobbtown Partners.


Quentin Lutz

Founding Director

Quentin FJ Lutz  is a Co-Founder of the Outpost Club, the first by-invitation national golf society based in the United States. He has 30-years experience in global direct and indirect marketing, international finance, multi-channel media relations, club operations and land development. 

His career has included leadership positions at Qonnect Partners LLC, Arthur Hills - International Golf Course Architects, Pro Quest Inc. (a subsidiary to Ford Motor Company), CertainTeed Building Supplies Corporation and as an Officer in the United States Navy. 

Mr. Lutz has played the Top 100 Golf Courses of the World as ranked by GOLF Magazine and has worked with all three leading magazine top 100 ranking panels. Quentin is a member of the American Association of Realtors, Urban Land Institute, Golf Writers of America Association (as an internationally published golf writer), a founding member of the Audubon International Conservation Council, a voting board member of The Platinum Clubs of the World and a Fellow of the World Club Championships. 

He is also a member of the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, Moraine Country Club in Kettering, Ohio, Diamante Golf Club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and the Kingsley Club in northern Michigan. Quentin lives in Sylvania, Ohio, and is married for 29 years to his wife LeAnne. They have three daughters Morgan, Mackenzie and Macy.



Colin Sheehan

Founding Director

Colin Sheehan is a Co-Founder of the Outpost Club, the first by-invitation national golf society based in the United States.   He earned a BA in History and a BA in Political Science at Yale University, and for the past 15 years has served as the Head Coach of the Yale University Men’s Golf Team.  

Colin’s favorite golf memory was playing sunset golf at Walton Heath Old in the summer of 2003 during the final day of their week-long centenary celebrations.  He played even while the fireworks were going off, creating a spectacular memory of a lifetime.  Off the course, Colin enjoys listening to old vinyl records and spending time with his beautiful family including his wife Amy and their daughters Lucy (14), Annabel (11) and Caroline (6).



Will Smith

Founding Director


Will Smith is the Co-Founder of both the Outpost Club, a national golf society hosting over 70 events annually, and National Links Trust, an organization dedicated to protecting and promoting accessible, affordable and engaging municipal golf courses to positively impact local communities.  

After obtaining his BA from Yale, Will went on to obtain his Masters of Landscape Architecture at the University of Georgia.  He has previously worked with Tom Doak and Gil Hanse, and has been involved with world renowned projects at Ballyneal and Sebonack.  

When Will isn’t making memories on the golf course, he’s making them with his wonderful wife, Erin and their beautiful children, Jack and Evie.


Lisa Mitchell

Lisa Mitchell brings marketing and operations experience to the Outpost Foundation Board.   After completing her MBA at Columbia Business School in 2009, she served as the Chief Operating Officer at Revolution Golf until it was acquired by NBC Sports where she served in a Senior Director Role at the Golf Channel.

An avid golfer and runner, Lisa’s favorite golf memories are those she continues to make with her “family foursome” including her husband, Scott and golf-crazed kids Cameron (9) and Alex (7) at GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills, NY.  

Along with the Outpost Foundation, Lisa serves on the Board for National Links Trust, a 501c charity dedicated to preserving and enhancing the accessibility of municipal golf.  Both of these organizations are important to her because they work to make the game of golf more inclusive and accessible.



James Wagner

James Wagner is a Design Partner and Vice President of Hanse Golf Design where he has been for 25 years helping to establish the firm as one of the industry leaders. Hanse Golf has designed some of the Top 100 golf courses in the worldwide with the likes of; Castle Stuart Golf Links ( Inverness, Scotland), Les Bordes – New Course (Saint-Laurent-Nouan, France), Ohoopee Match Club (Cobbtown, Ga), Streamsong – Black Course (Bowling Green, Fl) and The Golf Course for The 2016 Rio Olympics (Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). Hanse Golf has also restored several of the top golf courses in the Country; Merion Golf Club, Winged Foot Golf Club (East and West), The Country Club – Brookline, Southern Hills and Baltusrol Golf Club (Lower).

James is also the Managing Partner of Caveman Construction along with being a Partner in CC Gear Co. Caveman Construction specializes in creating the Art and Architecture associated with the construction of Hanse Golf Design Projects. CC Gear Co. is an Apparel and Merchandising company that creates small batch Caveman Construction related merchandise that helps support the Caveman Scholarship Fund.

Mr. Wagner started the Caveman Scholarship with Gil Hanse and currently helps manage and oversee the recipient process. The Scholarship works in-conjunction with the Outpost Foundation who administers the finances. Since its inception in 2018 the Caveman Scholarship Fund has raised over $100,000 and given over 10 scholarships to students who work at Caveman Construction partner clubs.

He is also leading the way for Hanse Golf Design and Caveman Construction in their current partnerships with 3 foundations looking to rejuvenate golf and shape lives in urban settings. The Friends of Cobbs Creek Foundation, Cobbs Creek Golf Course in Philadelphia, Pa.; Rock Creek Golf Course in Washington DC with the National Links Trust as well as The Golf Park in West Palm Beach Fl. with the West Palm Golf Community Trust.

Jim resides on the east coast of Florida with his wife of 26 years, Donna.


Bill Spence

Bill brings over twenty years of marketing and communications experience to the Outpost Foundation. He’s a longtime member of the Outpost Club and supporter of the Outpost Foundation.

In addition to serving on the Board of Directors for the Outpost Foundation, Bill is also a member of the Board of Directors for the National Links Trust, a a 501(c)(3) non profit, dedicated to positively impacting local communities across the United States by protecting and promoting accessible, affordable and engaging municipal golf courses.

A native of Virginia, Bill lives in Arlington with his wife Ashley, son William, and two dogs (Max and Ruby). Bill is a graduate of the University of Virginia and lifelong fan of the Wahoos.
